Landform Design

Study Lead services has been provided to the two largest Mining Houses. This has included the management of multidisciplinary teams to create a balance of technical, regulatory, mine economics, stakeholder, including First Nations considerations. Such Projects require a very large time commitment with Trajectory may not be able to deliver, however Study Team support may be a consideration.

Waste Rock Construction and Design Standards have been prepared for a number of sites to codify practices. These occur in close collaboration with both Environmental, Mine Planning and other key stakeholders. Individual landform designs have been prepared at a number of sites over the preceding twenty-five years. Landform designs and aspects of the basis of the design such as Erosion Modelling and Material Characterisation can be carried out at a preliminary or detailed level of critique. These include justified and specified aspects such as batter height, angle, surface cover. Berm/Bench with and specification of water control mechanism on berms and top surfaces. Armouring specifications where required and preferential topsoil deployment plans depending on inventory and where multiple topsoil types exist and might be deployed to best effect. Revegetation plans con be prepared. These are very pragmatic.

The key question asked is ‘What can the substrate, which is where the plant reside, establish with respect to revegetation. Trajectory does not specify revegetation species which have no prospect of establishing and does not support the development of expectations that they ever will.
